Snapchat's color issue was first called out on 4/20, when it rolled out a Bob Marley filter which darkened users faces and widened their noses. Now users say Snapchat’s “beauty” and “pretty” filters are beautifying them by lightening their skin, which is basically promoting eurocentric beauty ideals that we've long fought to dismantle. Snapchat has yet to respond.

Facebook Live Gets Sketchy

A mentally ill 30-year-old Tampa man Facebook live-streamed his four hour standoff against police, as he hid inside his home wielding a gun. According to local news reports, Adam Mayo's mother alerted police after her son had refused to seek hospitalization, when cops arrived, Mayo was wielding a gun and threatening to blow up the house as his followers commented on the situation in real time.
Mayo wasn't criminally charged he was taken to a mental facility for evaluation. (via: Fox13)
