Memes Mattered In This Election
In a study published by Pew Research Center, 20 percent of social media users say their views and stances on political issues have changed thanks to the content they've come across on social media. 17% say that social media has helped shift their views about a specific political candidate, and in the same study internet users who change their minds about Clinton were "more than three times as likely to say that their opinion changed in a negative direction rather than a positive one." THIS IS TROUBLING....and not surprising given the amount of memes and conspiracy theories we've seen from internet trolls. (via: Pew Research Center)
