Police Officer Jeronimo Yanez Charged In the Killing of Philando Castile

Justice can potentially be served in the case of Philando Castile, a black man who was stopped by police in Minnesota for having a broken tail light and shot dead after he informed officer Jeronimo Yanez he had a gun and a permit to carry. The Associated Press reports that on Wednesday, prosecutors announced they would charge Officer Jeronimo Yanez with second-degree manslaughter in the death of Castile.
"Based upon our thorough and exhaustive review of the facts of the case it is my conclusion that the use of deadly force ...was not justified," According to County Attorney John Choi said. (via: AP)
