Cool Teen™, Essena O'Neill Is Outing Instagram Fakery

via Essena O'Neill

Essena O'Neill has racked up nearly half a million followers on Instagram by posting contrived bikini selfies and avocado toast - but today the 18-year-old Aussie social media star is quitting all of her social media channels to focus full time on her new platform, "Let's Be Game Changers", a site where she'll educate young followers about the perils of social media and feeding into "like" approval.

O'Neill is peacing out from Instagram by updating old captions with the truths that went down behind-the-scenes. The caption under a photo of O'Neill in a dress sipping juice from a mason jar states, "Was paid $400 to post a dress. That's when I had maybe 150k followers, with half a million followers, I know of many online brands (with big budgets) that pay up to $2000 per post. Nothing is wrong with accepting brand deals. I just think it should be known. This photo had no substance, it was not of ethical manufacturing (I was uneducated at the time). SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT REAL is my point." (Via: Instagram)

via Anonymous

Anonymous spent the weekend publishing to data storage site Pastebin the names, emails, and phone numbers of alleged past and present Ku Klux Klan members, including US Senators Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), John Cornyn (R-Tx.), Dan Coats (R-In.) and Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.). Mayors of major US cities also appear on the list including, Jim Gray of Lexington, Kentucky, Madeline Rogero of Knoxville, Tennessee; Paul D. Fraim of Norfolk, Virginia; Kent Guinn of Ocala, Florida; and Tom Henry of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Lahoma, Oklahoma, mayor Theresa Sharp, whose husband wore a white robe and hood and a burning cross on Halloween, was not listed in the leak, he just KKKs for fun.

Fraim, Hery, Gray and Coates have all denied affiliation with the hate group via Twitter. The KKK has yet to confirm Anonymous' leak. According to the hackers, alleged KKK members will continue to be outed until November 5 when they plan to release more than 1000 KKK affiliates. (via: International Business Times)
