Pepsi Pulls Its Ad Suggesting Soda And Kendall Jenner Can End Police Brutality

It took Pepsi 24 hours before it finally got the message that Kendall Jenner cannot lead the Black Lives Matter movement and end police brutality with fizzy soda.

The controversial ad appropriating the nationwide protest movement following the police shootings of black people was pulled on Wednesday.

"Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding. Clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize," Pepsi wrote in a statement on Wednesday. "We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are removing the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position."(via: The Cut)

A dedicated team will review the content and then remove it, and keep it off the site with a photo-matching technology that will keep similar images off Instagram and Messenger.


ISIS Releases First Statement About Trump

In their first comments about Donald Trump since he became president, ISIS says that America has "drowned" and that there is no savior for the United States "being run by an idiot."

Abi al-Hassan al-Muhajer released more in a statement:

"America you have drowned and there is no savior, and you have become prey for the soldiers of the caliphate in every part of the earth, you are bankrupt and the signs of your demise are evident to every eye,” he said in a recording “...There is no more evidence than the fact that you are being run by an idiot who does not know what Syria or Iraq or Islam is."
