Madonna is launching a new footwear line under her already established Truth or Dare label, and Aldo Group Inc. has jumped on the project as its producer. Set to launch in fall ’12, the collection is a hybrid of old and new Madonna style, with everything from black lace and gold accents to sleek boots and killer stilettos. (Women’s Wear Daily)


The Egyptian Olympic team will be sporting knockoff Nike uniforms during this year’s world games. The team’s officiall committee admitted to buying the merchandise from a Chinese distributor due to Egypt’s current economic situation, and thus was not likely surprised when they received bags sporting the Nike logo on the side and the Adidas logo on the zipper. Gucci sued a Gucci…yes, a real Gucci. The great grandson of Gucci’s original founder, Guccio Gucci, and his brother, Alessandro Gucci, had a lawsuit slapped in their faces when they marketed their own handbag and accessories line, ToBeG Srl, with the family name.
